Windows 10 Calculator App - Replace by Microsoft Mathematics

I would also like Microsoft Mathematics to replace the Windows calculator. As a scientist the Microsoft Mathematics calculator is far more useful that the Windows calculator but I find that its not very well known. The calculator application in Windows 10 when set to "scientific" is woeful in comparison to the functionality of Microsoft Mathematics.

Look at how terrible they are in comparison to Microsoft Mathematics which is a great program.

I would also like some other Microsoft products to be inbuilt such as Windows Live Movie Maker and Microsoft Mouse without Borders.

You know, since the days of Windows 95 the calculator has needed an update. It should be able to graph ( 2D, 3D, Wireframe, Slices ), solve equations, and take in advanced forumals ( summations, integrals, etc ).

I would like to see a stack calculator with with RPL so i can duplicate a line, swap, and rotate ( bring the 3rd down to the 1st ).

I totally support this thread.

I agree with you and Philip, but it's much more than only the calculator.  I want Windows to be smarter, not dumber.  There seems to be an effort to make Desktop Windows a facebook/bing/twitter/minecraft platform much more so than a productivity platform.  Basically turning it into a content consumption platform instead of content creation.

There's nothing wrong with providing simple basic tools, but when advanced tools are available they should also be provided.  Something like Microsoft Mathematics can even spark something in a young person, inspire them to look at data differently.

It's like the difference between plain square wooden blocks, and lego.

I added a video to demonstrate this in more detail:

Here is a thread which discusses how terrible the Windows 8 style Metro Calculator is in more detail:

Terrific video.  I know why they won't provide advanced functionality - if it won't work on Windows Phone they don't want it in Windows Desktop.  That's what is meant by Mobile First.

My huge beef is not being able to open multiple windows (don't care whether it's a separate instance, I just need a separate, new, clean window as if it was).

Great video - and yeah, I would have loved that back in my school days... does it have a scripting language?

You're right too - since it's free, it should be included.

This is an amazing idea, Microsoft Mathematics is way more useful than the Microsoft Calculator, I really hope that they will be merged and that someone could simply use the advanced features without having to download a separate application, as you have such a great idea I'll have to send you to windows.uservoice.com (a feedback website set up by Microsoft) where you can post your idea and Microsoft will review it and if it'll get enough votes it will be included in the next update of Windows, 祝你好運 (juk lei ho-wan, I don't know if you're Chinese as I guessed it by your name Yip, either way "good luck"). ;-)

Microsoft makes both the best services and devices, I'm a proud loyalist.
