Windows 10 9926 in "Preparing install" and circles going round for hours now

HI, I tried to install W10 TP 9926 several times now on older Windows 7 laptop, and each time it hangs after download and installation at "preparations running" (in German "Vorbereitung läuft") and balls circling ...this goes on probably forever, right now it has been several hours...

I downloaded installed it via Windows update 

I am close to giving up on W10

any ideas?

Answer

When my install failed because of Trusteer it rolled back and then wouldn't show the update as available. I changed to slow updates, rebooted and then changed back to fast updates and it re-appeared and installed.
