Micrsosoft Wireless Display Adapter - Driver Errors on WIn10 Preview. Dell - XPS 12

I have a Dell XPS 12 running Windows 10 Technical preview with all updates and latest preview build (available to me) per Windows Update.

I followed the steps to add my brand new out of the box this morning Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. It sees the adapter, tells me to follow any steps on my TV (non) and then appears to load a driver. It then completes with a Driver error message and nothing.  No other options.

I downloaded the wireless adapter app but since I cannot connect its useless to me. (unless I'm missing something)

Can I get some help on troubleshooting this?

I searched the event log for the device and found a recurring Device stopped error:

I am experiencing the same issue. If there is a fix for this great. If not I understand we will have to wait on a new build.

Same issue here....there is an error code 43 on my device manager setting for the Miracast display adapter.   Bummer, I was really looking forward to this.    Hope they can fix it soon....

I had similar issues with my wireless connection, I tried two different USB wireless adapters, a Realtek RTL8191SU and a Asus N53 with no joy on either one.  Then I found this workaround on the forum from a Microsoft tech.  After completing the command prompt procedures the Asus N53 adapter connected and is working normally.

I'm running into the same issue with my Surface Pro 2.  I'll have to wait until a patch comes out, I guess.

You shouldn't be disappointed in Microsoft. This is a Technical Preview, you should be thankful they are cool enough to let us play with a work in progress and allow us to chime in with feedback. You chose to use it so try not to give them a hard time, they have done nothing wrong.

I understand the Technical Preview aspect but I did just pay $65 for something that doesn't work.  At all.  Not a little bit non-working, it doesn't work at all.  And I don't know when it will work...so I feel perfectly justified to be disappointed.

And they have done something wrong...regardless the Preview aspect, they did not maintain parity of capability from one version of Windows to the next...

You paid 65$ for something that works as it is supposed to according to the box. Windows 8 and Android. You can't be mad at Microsoft for having bugs in a alpha software that they warned you would have major bugs and features missing. They didn't lose parity because the preview isn't a released version therefore it doesn't have set features.

I get how you are seeing it but it truly is the wrong perspective.  This preview is not meant to replace a released version of Windows and if you have done so you made the choice to go to a work in progress that will have a ton of bugs.

If you are not a developer, techie, or just a super geek, you should not be using this Technical Preview.

NONE of the Miracast adapters are working as far as I can tell. This is a
technical preview. lots of things are not working, and wireless functionality is
especially borked.
