Malwarebytes Anti-Malware doesn't work on this version of Windows

My machine is getting frozen at 85% whenever I tried to update to Build 14965 Insider Preview and after searching around, I found a solution which is "Remove all Anti-Virus programs before installing update", It worked for me.

Now I'm trying to re-install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware after updating, but I'm getting compatibility error in the image attached below.

Is there a workaround for this? Or I have to wait for another Windows update or Malwarebytes Update?

I'm running:
Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview
Evaluation copy. Build 14965.rs_prerelease.161104-1700
Lenovo Laptop with Intel i7 CPU , 64-bit OS, 16GB RAM and 1TB Solid State Drive.

The only solution is to remove all thrd. party AV's and wait until the makers can catch up with a more stable release. In the mean time you can use Windows Defender.

This is just one of the reasons we all say don't use third party A.V. products on an insider build.

There are issues with third party A.V products and the insider builds.

Why would you need it? Defender is so advanced now 3rd party AV can't even keep up. A more logical benefit for your pc would be an AMD or Intel driver update utility. Windows might delete it with new builds but at least MS will have the latest .inf files...

I thought I read in another post that this pop up is bogus.

Have you tried clicking Close and tested to see if Malwarebytes works?

I also have the free version of Malwarebytes for nearly a year. It is not embedded in any way. Just like any other App that only starts when I start it. It runs on build 14965 even with the Root Kit part active. When I run it I get the warning do you want to allow this app to make changes to your system. I click on yes. Tested it 3 different times so far no problems it completes every time.

I could not run it on the last build it is strange that it is one of those apps that works for some and not for others.

It seems these Win 10 builds are like artificial intelligence and every one of them is at a different stage of development on some systems they are new born and others like an old man or woman some times they get it right but sometimes not.:)

Hi..I just installed 14965 and it removed my MalwareBytes free...which I have been using for years.....it does not even run in the background....

This the first time I am having or have had installing a new build....weird

Windows will not allow me to re-install Malware Bytes....hmmm it's not really important for Windows 10...but it bugs me anyways.

When I updated to 14965 I had a message that Malwarebytes wasn't compatible and had been uninstalled. I hadn't and still runs perfectly. I guess it depends if you have removed it the compatibility assistant won't let you re-install it.

I assume you have tried to install in compatibility mode.?
