This is a fix for the shutdown/restart issue.

On my laptop I used the Update & Restart

under power.

Installing now.

It appears that there is a "Catch 22".  KB4526447 requires a "Restart" and you know what that means, you need to use one of the shutdown workarounds, which I failed to do. Will try the Pc's "Reset" button and see what happens.

1 worked fine.  The other 2 I had to use the power button to shut down and the back on.  When it went back on to did the update.  After that shutdown and restart works fine.

For sure, this KB seems to fix the issue.  I just kept doing forced shutdowns until it installed this KB.

Appears to be working fine. Will see if the fix works every time I shut down the computer(s).

Same here on my second computer, had to use the Desktop's front panel Restart/Reset button to finish installing the update, Lets see what happens over the next few days!

I did Power, update and restart and it worked fine . . .

shutdown back to normal 20 seconds

Worked on both my Home desktop and Pro laptop. Both needed a long press on the power button after Restart now  but after Powering on again the update completed and further shutdown/restarts worked fine.

It worked for me.  Then again so did the power button.  :)

I initially had the Restart/Shutdown issue but 3 or 4 days ago it went away for me. Glad for the CU that fixed it for everyone.

It would be great if some Insiders would read the Thread prior to posting as the fix was announced & some Insiders were still complaining not realizing the issue was fixed. JMO
