I assume your Windows 10 TP and Sever 2012 R2 are not domain members. If that is the case, go here:
https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/HVRemote/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx. I just completed these actions and am able to connect to my Hyper-V server running Server 2012 R2 from my Windows 10 Technical Preview for Enterprise
laptop.

I will like to apologize for the FALSE Alarm, finally got it working. When I saw the previous post realize it was possible and visited my original setup.
Scenario:
My Windows 10 Technical Preview VM is not domain joined but the Server 2012 R2 is.
Resolution:
It turns out in my original setup using step in this post, the password on the account on the server had expires causing authentication to fail and sending me in a wild goose chase.
I was able to resolve the issue by resetting password and I did remember this time to set it not to expire.
Sorry Again. :)
