File explorer tasks hanging at 99%

In the last couple of builds, tasks in File Explorer, including deleting and copying, hang at 99% and will eventually complete, but not until minutes later.  The task appears to have actually completed immediately (e.g. if I stop the File Explorer task in task manager, then I'll find that the delete did go through, etc.).  Also, things like creating a new folder (where no progress meter appears), also hang, but again appear to actually complete immediately but freeze on the screen.

Anyone else with this issue?  Any fixes?

I have been finding that File Explorer also hangs at times, especially if I am working on a folder with many files, or on a mounted ISO file.  I haven't figured out exactly why it happens, but usually it is OK for me. I wondered if it is Windows Defender checking things out.

I tried enabling the option to Launch folder windows in a separate process, but I am not sure if that has improved it at all.
