I'm currently running a Windows 10.0.10130, and for quite some time (in previous builds also), I noticed dwm.exe using too much memory. As in too much, too much. Some exceptional examples:
1) It's in Russian, but that's dwm with >8Gb of memory
2) I've just tried to run GTA V, and it crashed immediately. In the Event Viewer I found a warning, stating that Resource-Exhaustion-Detector found a lack of virtual memory. And in the list of applications with most memory allocated was dwm.exe with... ~20.9Gb! (Next being GTA V with ~1Gb).
So after restarting PC, it takes from a couple of hours to a couple of days to reach more than 1Gb allocated memory for dwm. Typical usage includes opened Steam, Skype, Chrome w/ ~10 tabs, WIndows mail app (which keeps crashing constantly), Rainmeter. I can sometimes see dwm's memory usage increasing in task manager. Like a memory leak or something.
Any ideas on how to fix that? Or isn't it my fault?
