One of my biggest issue with all of my Windows 10 9926 installs is that I cannot access my WD MyCloud Mirror NAS. I get a permissions error, no chance to enter the credentials.
Anyone else experiencing this issue with this NAS, or any others?

OK, seems the actual difference between 9926 and prior builds/OS, is that the Group Policy for "Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts" now defaults to "Classic" (previously the default on domains). I believe previously on workgroups/standalone it was "Not Defined" and therefore defaulted to "Guest" functionality.
Deleting any workaround registry hacks, then setting the following Group Policy to "Guest" appears to restore the prior functionality:
gpedit.msc > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts

Here is a nother fix for this problem.
Found it on ms forum.
This solved my problem
Using REGEDIT it's necessary to create a DWORD value called 'AllowInsecureGuestAuth' in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters and set this new value to 1. A reboot will also be necessary.

Hello.
I have the same problem on my asus t100.
i cant access my NAS (WD live cloud)
I can access it on my other computers that runs on windows 8.1.
Ive tried youre workaround but since i have my language in swedish is not that easy to follow it.
Can u post some pictures on the workaround?
BR koffe
I'm not sure were you have the settings, on my WDMyCloudEX2 I go to settings > Network > Windows services and change here from SMB 2 (standard) to SMB 1. Works ok, but I still can't do offline files.
Hope it works for you as well

Same here,
My WDMYCLOUD did not have the option but the registry key worked for me.
Thanks a lot

In order to enable offline files in WD EX2 shares, I changed the "csc policy" to "manual" in the smb.conf file.
Just have to figure out the template files to keep this change after a reboot.

I had the January release and this Regedit worked for me. Sadly battery life on the Surface Pro 3 was terrible in Windows 10. I hears they improved it and it is better but now the regedit to connect to my WDMyCloud does not work on build 10074. Anyone else seen this. I installed the WD software which allows you to access the drive via the software and transfer files but that is all it is good for vs opening the shared drive in Explorer the way I used to. Anyone else run into this or have any thoughts? My WD drive does not have the ability to change the SMB.
