Cannot access WD MyCloud Mirror NAS

One of my biggest issue with all of my Windows 10 9926 installs is that I cannot access my WD MyCloud Mirror NAS. I get a permissions error, no chance to enter the credentials.

Anyone else experiencing this issue with this NAS, or any others?

Same here with WD MyCloud EX2. My Workaround: Network Settings menu, Windows Services: Max SMB Protocol set to SMB1 ( Default SMB2 )- that fixed it for me. Not sure if the WD MyCloud Mirror offers the same menu/settings options.

Excellent, thanks, that did the trick! I'd tried turning off SMB2/SMB3 on my Surface Pro 3, which didn't work. For some reason, the thought of changing on the NAS didn't occur to me.

Thanks again, that's a huge load off.

Nice Workaround.

Remains open the question whether the smb implementation in last build is faulty (as it was working fine with prior versions) or whether the samba communitiy will have to bring a fix.

Anyone else having issues with mounting network shares residing on a samba 4.0.9 share?

Apparently, the way the january build authenticates to the network share has changed. In the log Messages, I see now " auth/auth.c:299(auth_check_ntlm_password) CIFS: Authentication for user [frank] has FAILED. ", while on the NAS, the user "Frank" does not existe, respectively, the device is set up to allow for anonymous / public Access

Yes I also have this problem with WD My Cloud - the basic version as opposed to the Mirror version. Will try the suggested fix.

As a quick update, it looks like the issue is just the initial handshake between the machine and the NAS. I set mine back to SMB2 to take a screenshot of the error, and I could still connect. I've kept it set at SMB2 and machines that connected when it was at SMB1 can still connect.

Thanks.  This would be a show stopper as I used these things for backups and archiving.
