Hi Falasyanamelechi,

Clarify this for us. Which program are you trying to install? Are you running a Windows Insider Preview build? The DLL missing error usually indicates the need for you to install a Visual C++ Redistibutable package for Visual Studio. Other software may require a newer or older version. Have you checked with the software developer?

In the meantime, check this link to download the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.

We look forward to your response.

Have you tried downloading the Visual C++ Redistributable package above? It's the closest I can find that is somehow similar to the error that you are getting. Although it's probably best to contact the manufacturer if there's any software requirements.

I'm in the same, i  don't have api-ms-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll. I uninstalled and reinstalled c++ 2015.

Is it enough to download it and move it to folder system32\downlevel? There are many such dll files with api-ms-win... name in this folder.This is a site where i can download this dll. What do you suggest?

edit: I found this .dll file in weird folder C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-u..lcrt-apifwd-winblue_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17898_none_54fa9dff44f17528 . Folder was created 4 days ago, when i performed command dism and sfc /scannow. You can read here what i was doing 4 days ago.

In my case, this basic DLL was ‘lost in the shuffle’ during updates to MS SQL Server components. What worked was to uninstall both 32- and 64-bit versions and use Repair in Control Panel to get the system to fix it. Behind-the-scenes (manual) repairs didn’t work. Best wishes!
