20H1 Build 18898 is Live

Down on 3 and 2 more coming.

Had a bounce back on GTR on 2.

I downloaded and installed 18898 without problem on my desktop but errors in WU 8007001f on my Acer laptop. Trying again but not hopeful on my laptop. I had the same error code from 18890,18994,18895 and now 18898.

Installed on my SP4 which stopped the camera working so I reset Windows 18898 which bought the camera back to life.

I uninstalled KTS and restarted WU downloaded 18898 and then failed with error 8007001f. Last built I had to do a clean install of Windows. Surely I don't have to do this again.

My main PC just failed at the first reboot with setup-failure error 0xc1900101

32 bit Home desktop installed, as usual of late, without incident. My 64 bit Pro laptop was not so lucky this time. During getting things ready it lost wi-fi connectivity and nothing that I tried would resolve the issue. Eventually it green screened and restarted back to 18895 with first an irq not less or equal error and again , after a further restart, with a thread exception error. I tried troubleshooters without success and eventually decided to reset, removing everything. This was successful and restored my wi-fi connectivity, thus enabling me to rejoin the Fast lane (initially set as Slow after reset) and install 18898 without any further problems. However, after installation had completed I did get a notification telling me to restart as it had found disk errors. This is a fairly new SSD drive!!

Just an item of interest.  A while back, I could create the ISO after the full update, all necessary files were there.  Of late, the necessary files do not seem to be there.  Are they now being deleted after the restart?

It is not of much importance now with UUPDUMP.   My installs are now fast and highly successful so little need for the ISO from the update.  More curious than anything.

Not sure if I am asking this in the right place but here goes. I am in the fast ring and current build is 18362.53 and Windows Update tells me I am up to date. My question is. Why can I not get any build updates. Thanks for any help :)

I've never been able to use UUPTOISO after rebooting.  I have no idea why, I always make sure I have over 20 GB free before starting WU; some partitions have over 100 GB free, so it's not a space related deal.  I either download the ISO from UUPDUMP or use UUPTOISO before the 1st restart.  MS seems to make changes to WU with most all new builds, so we may well never know why this is.

I create the ISO before the restart, so as to be able use it if things go wrong. Found that UUPDUMP takes much linger to create the ISO as UUPtoISO. Can't really tell if the files are there afterwards, as I've cleaned everything
