My first attempt at a total clean install is not working. Get as far as the Windows Flag and then it freezes. Will try making another ISO and see if it occurs again.

 Up and running with 18346 on test desktop 2, test desktops 1 & 3 are 40% installing and 95% GTR respectively.  So far so good.

 I'm doing something wrong intermittently downloading from UUPdump because I'm getting "this can't run on this machine" messages from the ISO I'm creating.  Maybe it's because I'm telling it to just download the Pro version on a system that's running Win 10 Home release version.  I've got more to do to resolve, but WU is working just fine.

Even a Pro-only ISO ought to run on a Home Edition device. That would be one way to upgrade from Home to Pro. I am creating an ISO that way at the moment also and will do a clean install to my Insider partition to test it.

I still had the now "old" "Banner" headline for Settings when I started. Clicked "Check for Updates" and it reverted to the "old" style.

Settings has been "checking" now for 7 minutes without finding an update.

The lines must be busy? :~)

Edit. 8 minutes in and it has, at last, found 18346.1

My clean install worked well. So am up on 18346 on my primary PC (as a dual-boot). Still some drivers to finish installing.

EDIT!!: Oops! I installed the wrong build. I did 18836 by mistake. I will re-try.

Further to my post above,

Total install time is 42 minutes.

Check for updates ( 34 min ) -> Restart ( 8 min ) -> Desktop.

Settings banner is still missing.
