IE9 hung in loop... here's the Main Log.... the already suggested fixes don't work...

Hi, thanks is advance...  I've never been stuck like this before...  I've used the IE9 Test Drive trial just fine... (it was fun using)

I have the named (suggested fixes) below installed, that are said to cause this "looping" of not opening, if these updates are not installed... so this shouldn't be my problem.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971512

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2117917

EXCEPT!...  One thing I can't figure on them?...  I show in my installed updates in control panel/programs & features , with the "KB971512" showing as installed 11/11/2009.....   BUT... when I check in my "Window Update history".... it's not there....  on NO date....  The other one "KB2117917" is showing on both lists... so it's evidently there for certain....   But what about that first "KB971512"???   Is it there, or not?....   Should I try an "uninstall" and redownload it?....  I thought about trying, but wasn't sure whether to or not....

But in this IE9 Main Log below.... the only thing that "I" spot is where it states that "ID 6005" failed to load....   When I did some checking,  this appears to be a driver...  and has to do with my USB & "webcam"??....    Granted, I have my webcam and microphone disabled.... (never use them), but all USB ports are working fine...  or... am I misunderstanding that?...

Is that my problem?....  Do they "need" enabling for this to work?....  That sounds dumb....  The IE9 Test Drive didn't need it/them....  IE8 doesn't...  Firefox doesn't....   Chrome doesn't....   I've used all of these....   This week.    They all have worked great.....

I've NEVER had a BETA that I couldn't use before....   hurts my feelings, this does....  ;~(

I was SO ready for this... watching the calender for this day....

Also, two other suggestions I found was, one, the "zyngo toolbar" preventing it from running, that presumably, installs along with IE9....   I don't have that.... (or do I?....  I can't get IE9 to load to see.... and I don't see it in my programs or my installs...).....   AND.... the second suggestion of starting IE9 with No-Add Ons.....   That didn't work either....

Please, help?  (I've already uninstalled and tried a fresh download of IE9 again to no avail... and I'm typing this from Firefox as that I'd have to uninstall IE9 again to use IE8.... and I'm not enjoying Firefox.... but at least it's working....)

Thanks again in advance,

Val

!EDIT!:  One thing I found is working.... "safe mode" as suggested by "Cody" in answer to another's problem....   I just now tried it and it's working, I'm doing this edit in "safe mode" in IE9.... so....  I "DO" have a driver problem as the "ID 6005" seems to indicate....

Now....  what do I do next?.....  Do I enable my webcam?... what would that have to do with it?

The part:  00:00.062: ERROR:   === FindResource (6005,"IE9-neutral.Extracted.msu") failed with 0x716

is what I'm finding is the culprit... and when searching/googling (whatever)... the above, I get that it's a "driver... and something on about USB & webcam".....

what would my webcam have to do with using IE?...

HELP?

Thanks again,

Val

Answer

Can you try going into Internet Options. Advanced Tab and then checking the option to use Software Rendering? Restart IE and see if the issue reoccurs. If it works, it points to a graphics driver that needs updating.
