Hello, Sandie,

What is your Windows Operating System?

Common Cause of "Error Performing Inpage Operation" Explained

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/141117

If using Windows Vista or Windows 7, go to Start and type CMD

Right click on CMD and select Run As Administrator

If using Windows XP, press Enter

Type Chkdsk D: /F /R

Press Enter

You will receive a message the drive needs to be locked and would you like to to start the scan on restart. Press Y and Press Enter

Reboot computer so the scan can begin.

This won't do any harm, it will fix errors on the disk and try to recover data from bad sectors.

If using Windows XP, try the following
