Upgrade to Internet Explorer 10 from Internet Explorer 9

Hi.  I would like to upgrade from Internet Explorer 9 to Internet Explorer 10 but I do not know If I have to uninstall Internet Explorer 9 first or if it will overwrite when I install the newer version.  I also do not want to lose the sites I have saved in my favourites menu. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer

You can put IE10 right on top of IE9. No need to remove it.

Download IE10 to your Desktop. Do not use Windows or Microsoft Updates.

Internet Explorer 10 download:

Restart your computer. With no other programs running, disable your anti-virus program and any spyware or spam programs you may have. If you are running a third party firewall, disable it and enable the Windows firewall.

Now install IE10 from the Desktop. When you're done, restart your computer twice and then make sure your disabled programs are running again.
