Dear Microsoft Answers Support Team:
I have Silverlight installed, latest version on Windows 7 Home Premium.
I never had any kind of problems with add-ons with IE8.
All my problems started when I updated to IE9. (Only a few add-ons work that are enabled). Silverlight is one of the add-ons that is enabled, and does not work. Every webpage I open that requires the use of Silverlight, I am told to install Silverlight. (The sofware is already installed and shows as an add-on enabled in IE9).
Adobe Flash is just about the only add-on that works 100%.
Some of my purchased sofware that needs to be installed as an add-on to IE9 will work work, but worked with IE8.
Returning back to IE8 is a total waste of time, because Microsoft is going to include IE9 as one of their critical updates that come out every second Tuesday of the month. (I realize the added security in IE9, but there are far to many bugs or add-ons that are not compatible with IE9.
Please advise when will these issues be resolved??. Or do you already have a fix for this problem
I am an expert in computers going all the way back to IBM, and Windows 95, using every platform that Microsoft ever sold, with the exception of Vista, that I would not install if it was free.
Thanks in advance for any advise,
