Selecting a graphics card to run IE9 with hardware acceleration?

1.) What are the recommended minimum requirements for a graphics card to take advantage of IE9's hardware accelleration?

2.) How can I verify that my current graphics card is sufficient?

3.) What are the specs for an ideal graphics card fully utilizing IE9's capability. Not the most expensive card available, but one that will provide the intended IE9 expeirence.

Hello, jpl327

Click the Gear (Tools) icon and then click Internet Options. Go to the Advanced tab and check the first option: Accelerated graphics, Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering.

This option will be greyed out if your card does not support the hardware acceleration. When the option is selectable and unchecked, hardware acceleration is enabled.

As to a graphics card upgrade, the only potential difference would be in rendering speed.
