Is it the same computer where your McAfee free-trial had expired by the time you replaced it with another anti-virus application a few years ago when you were still running Vista? => http://answers.microsoft.com/thread/8ca497f7-5a58-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5

Wow, join the crowd.  I'm hoping for a remedy.  Other forums are expressing the same thing.  Had to install Google Chrome too.  Let's hope someone will tell us how to fix it or is this the end for Ie9?
