Can't download PDF file in IE9 - Error message: Failed to download

Since downloading IE9  I can't download my phone bills in PDF. I had no problem doing that before. When I choose the option to download, the system gives me the choice of "Save As" but allocates a strange name to the file begining with "Dodownload......" and when I click "save" it says Failed to download. I can download on another PC running IE 8 without problem.

I am running Windows 7 professional 64 bit

Thanks for you help

Answer

I was having the same problem on HTTPS sites.

IE 9 defaults to not saving secure pages in cache.  This needs to be turned off before

documents can be viewed or files can be downloaded.

·- Open Internet Options (located in the Control Panel)

·- Click on the Advanced tab

·- UnClick on the Do not save encrypted files to disk.

.- Restart the browser
