Cannot turn off automatic login

I am using a Windows 7 computer with IE9 pre-installed by the factory.  I have already attempted to resolve the problem by calling the maker of the computer.  They said I would have to ask IE Tech Support for assistance.

We never selected any option to automatically sign in to any websites, however even when we go to the websites that don't even have the option to auto-login it will assume to log us in.  And even when we sign out, it automatically signs us back in so we can't change to another account.  This is a serious privacy/security issue as this happens not only with email but also our banking website.

There was the gmail website which has the option to remember the password on the website.  Before it could change the page we deleted the password and unchecked auto logon.  This worked for gmail, but the other websites don't have the option to remember passwords.

Under [Internet Options>Content>Auto Complete] we have already unchecked all the options and deleted all auto complete history, but it still continues to do this.

We have set it to [Internet Options>Security>Custom Level>User Authentication>Logon>Prompt for user name and password] and this has not resolved the issue either.

If anyone can help resolve this issue, I would greatly appriciate it.

Hi,

HP?

Is HP SimplePass (fingerprint reader) installed and loading at startup?

See AllenMK's 2nd post here http://answers.microsoft.com/thread/80054b56-00e2-49f1-8dad-4f0e91466a97

If SimplePass is the culprit you could uninstall it or remove it from startup programs.
