adding Wikipedia as search engine

Is there really no way of adding Wikipedia as a search engine in IE9?

(Seems I can add all sorts of spurious engines like Tesco, and many others that don't seem to me to be SEARCH engines) but not Wikipedia?

Sure you can add Wikipedia.

You can quickly use this URL then click add Wikipedia to IE search.

To add a search provider
  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

  2. Click the Show Address bar Autocomplete button, and then click Add in the lower right corner for the Address bar.

  3. In the Add-ons Gallery, choose a search provider, and then click Add to Internet Explorer.

  4. In the Add Search Provider dialog box, you can do one or more of the following:

    • To use a search provider automatically, select the Make this my default search provider check box.

    • To go directly to the search provider's top result when you search, select the If the address I type in the address bar can't be found, open the top search result check box.

    • To see suggested search terms or results from the search provider as you type, select the Use search suggestions from this provider check box.

  5. Click Add.

Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. "
