Which one is your default search provider?   What are the conditions that this "blank page" occurs under?  E.g. are you pressing  Ctrl-e  and typing something in the Address bar or doing something else?

In any case to try to simplify the symptom description disable  Search Suggestions.   I have seen a few instances of what you may be complaining about with Google so try focusing on what you see when BING is your default search provider without Search Suggestions being active.  I.e., I think BING is generally better behaved (more predictable and more understandable) than Google.   Please describe everything that you see, not just the final result, e.g. what happens in the Status bar, Address bar, Title bar, and Tab label  as well as the "blank page" and final result.   You could also check on the "blank page" with View, Source or the Developer Tools (F12) to see if it is really blank, truncated HTML or a rendering problem.
