Hi mglargaard,

You may follow these steps & check if the issue persists.

a. Click Start > Run, type ‘regedit’ and go to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

b. In the right hand pane, look for the values Search Page and Search Bar.

c. Double click Search Page and replace the existing url with this one:

http://www.google.com

d. Double click Search Bar and replace the existing url with this one:

http://www.google.com/ie

e. Navigate to the location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL

f. Double click Default in the right hand pane and replace the url with this:

http://www.google.com/keyword/%s

g. Navigate to the location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search

h. In the right hand pane, double click the value SearchAssistant and replace the existing value with this:

http://www.google.com/ie

i.Exit the registry, and close and reopen Internet Explorer. Click the Search button on the IE toolbar. You should now see Google, instead of MSN, pop up as your default Internet Explorer search engine.

Modifying REGISTRY settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of REGISTRY settings can be solved. Modifications of these settings are at your own risk.

Hope the information helps. Please post back and let us know.
