@Stacy only:

1. Temporarily uninstall Google Toolbar & reboot.

I had the same problem.  This was the fix.  Open IE.

Click on "Tools" menu.

Click "Internet Option"

Select the "General" tab.

In the "Tabs" section, click the "Settings" button.

In the "When a pop-up is encountered:" section, select "Let Internet Explorer decide how pop-ups should open".

Click "Ok"

Then exit out of IE.

Open IE and go to Facebook.  This should work.

After reading how "bigPipe" works, I thought about how the browser controls Pop-ups.  My theory was, IE was seeing the "bigPipe" modules as a pop-up, then killing the second or third module as it executed.  This is how a pop-up works.  So, by taking the above action, it allows IE to decide which pop-up to block.
