What does "out of memory at line" mean? I have an external hard drive attached. Please help.

I was shopping online (LLBean.com) and the system was running slowly.  A message popped up: "out of memory at line"  I've never seen this.  I have an external hard drive of 3TB attached, so I'm not sure what memory issues I would be having.  What does this message mean?
