Hi Joy,

Strange.... (script errors were already turned off...) I would expect that you would only see the triangle in the Status bar, without a popup error message.

Do you have InPrivate Filtering enabled? (aka.. Ad blocking)... You may have an Addon called IE7Pro installed which enables this option by default when you start IE (normally you have to turn it on each time you start IE)

The copies of the error messages you provided indicate that you are using the 64 bit version of IE where IE7Pro is not loaded. Did you try in the x86 (normal) version of IE.

Now.... this part of the error message:

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; OfficeLiveConnector.1.4; OfficeLivePatch.1.3)

tells us your Windows and IE versions (WOW64 is the x64 version of IE on a x64 version of Windows)... We do know of problems occurring when this is over 200 characters in length (yours is 204 characters in length), but I think you may have InPrivate Filtering enabled (because the error messages are for missing objects..... aka scripts from ad servers and shared web services).

If you want to correct the length of your userAgent string, go to http://www.enhanceie.com/ua.aspx and follow the instructions there to correct any errors it may find.

But, try the x86 version of IE first and ensure that you have InPrivate Filtering turned off.

Don't forget that disabling the setting "Display notification about every script error" stops the popup error messages only. You will still see a Triangle in the IE Status bar (indicating that a script error has occurred).. It doesn't actually stop the script errors... it just stops the annoying popup error message.

If you do have InPrivate Filtering (aka ad blocking) enabled, then expect to see scripting errors on the web sites you visits (a triangle in your Status bar) because that is how ad blocking works.

Regards.
