Hi,

1.       Were there any recent changes made to the computer prior to the issue?

2.       Which operating system is installed on the computer?

I would suggest you to follow the steps provided and check if it helps.

Method 1: Start Internet explorer with No add-ons mode and check.

Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and click on Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

If the issue does not persist in Internet Explorer (No Add-ons), then it is one of the add-ons causing this issue. Please follow the steps below to locate the problem add-on low:

a.     Restart IE normally.

b.     Click on Tools.

c.     Click on Manage Add-ons.

d.     Disable the add-ons by clicking them one at a time to highlight them and then click on disable button.

e.     Re-enable the add-ons one by one and check with which Add-on you get this error message.

f.     Disable the Add-on causing the problem.

For your reference: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Internet-Explorer-add-ons-frequently-asked-questions

(Holds good for Windows XP and Vista)

Method 2: If issue persists then I would suggest you to refer the link below, which would help you to repair or reinstall Internet explorer 8.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378

Important: Reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration. This step will also disable any add-ons, plug-ins, or toolbars that are installed. Although this solution is quick, it also means that, if you want to use any of those add-ons in the future, they must be reinstalled.

 Hope this information is helpful.

Hi,

issue is till unresolved using MSN Browser. Tried the troubleshooting steps above but still no go.

MSN homepage screen will not go fullscreen. there are still whitebars on each side abt 3-4inches wide. Tried other websites using MSN Browser 10.2, still no go.

already re-installed MSN Browser 10.2 thru https://membercenter.msn.com/download.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0
and still no go.

Tried checking other websites like CNN, DELL, MICOROSOFT, BING... all same results...

Tried with another PC (Win7) using MSN Browser, still no go. Tried doing system restore 3weeks ago, still no go, tried to undo Win Updates, no go.

just change the blue sidebars into white.

it wont go fullscreen. Unlike when u use IE, you can just press CTRL++ or CTRL--   to maximize it.

What is your Display resolution set to?   This symptom is often attributed to running at too high a resolution for the design of a webpage.

Without changing your actual screen resolution you may be able to get a clue about the difference that factor would play by using the Developer Tools, Tool, Resize.   Hmm... maybe not.   All it seems to do is change the size of the window, e.g. taking me out of Fullscreen mode to a custom sized normal mode window.   YMMV
