IE 7 is not saving cookies

We have a club web site that works for most members. When he logs is it looks OK but the cookie is not saved. As he goes to the next page he is logged out because the cookie isn't there. When I look on his computer I cannot even find a cookie directory. He is running Windows XP with IE 7.

Answer

To locate the cookies folder type

shell:cookies

in the IE Address bar... He could have move his Temporary Internet Files Folder (usually found under the Windows folder)

He may have installed some 'privacy' addons or is using cookie cleaners... or Most probably your web site has flaws.

type

javascript:alert(document.cookie);

in the IE address bar... gives you an unformated list of the cookie crumbs in your site cookie...... unless you are using Flash cookies.... then it could be another IE Addon or IE security features that is preventing Flash cookies from being written.

Oh.... Check his system clock.. it may have the wrong time... (flat CPU battery) and your site cookie is expired as soon as he leaves the start page.
