Error qwhen printing from IE8

When I try to print from IE8 I get the following: "There was an internal error and IE is unable to print this doc"; or "an error hs occurred in the script on this page".

No problems printing email or anything else, just from the web.

Note: Doesn't print from Firefox either.

Hey Paul,

Printing problems that are in some programs but not others can be a symptom of a corrupted user account. You can test/fix this by:

·         Click Start

·         Click Control Panel

·         Click User Accounts and Family Safety and/or User Account (depending on your view settings)

·         Click Manage another Account

·         Click Create a new account

·         Type the name of the user account

·         Click the account type (make it administrator if you are replacing an administrator account)

·         Click Create Account

·         Log off the current user

·         Log into the new user

Test to see if you can print from Internet Explorer in the new user account. If you can then follow these steps to copy over your user profile.

·         Log out of the new user

·         Log into the old user

·         Click Start

·         Click Documents

·         Click Tools (Press Alt if Tools isn’t visible)

·         Click Folder Options

·         Click View

·         Click Show hidden files and folders

·         Clear Hide protected operating system files

·         Click OK

·         Navigate to C:\Users\<old username>

·         Select all files and folders except files that contain:

o   Ntuser.dat

o   Ntuser.dat.log

o   Ntuser.ini

·         Click Edit (Press Alt if not visible)

·         Click Copy

·         Navigate to C:\Users\<new username>

·         Click Continue

·         Click Edit (Press Alt is not visible)

·         Click Paste

·         Check the Do this for all current items box

·         Click Yes

·         Check the Do this for all current items box

·         Click Copy and Replace

·         Check the Do this for all current items box

·         Click Continue

·         Log off the old user

·         Log back into the new user

Look forward to hearing back from you.
