Runtime error on Internet Explorer

Just recently, whenever I am running Internet Explorer 7 and attempt to download a document this message appears:

Runtime Error!

PRogram C:\Program Files\Inter Explorer\iexplore.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the applications support team for more information.

The document actually appears, but afater i close the error box, Internet Explorer restarts.

Answer

Hi,

1. What type of document?

2. If the problem is with PDF's, try removing Internet Explorer from the process. Open Adobe Reader> Edit> Preferences> Internet> uncheck "Display PDF in browser." PDF files will open in Adobe Reader, not Internet Explorer.

3. Runtime errors are often caused by a browser add-on.

Start Internet Explorer without add-ons by right-clicking the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
from Start> Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
If the problem goes away, an add-on is causing it.

To determine which add-on is causing the problem see:
