Windows Update Flash Player Fix - results in Script Errors

Using Windows Update I installed the latest security patch for Flash Player called "Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3087916)".  This was listed under "important updates".

BUT after installation I kept getting a pop-up error window saying there was a Script error involving the flash player. I kept getting that error pop-up on every web page until I removed the new update ( KB3087916)!

Can you tell me how to resolve the "script error"? Or should I just keep from installing the latest Windows Update patch that was recently released?

I am using Windows 8.1 with Internet Explorer 11.

The patch came out today, 8/18/2015, KB3079023.  It reinstalled the bad patch and fixed it.  No more Flash script errors.

Looks like MS would post that here instead of me.
