Internet Explorer 10 tab width increases when closing another tab

In IE10 the tab width increases when closing other open tabs.
I had experienced this in the release preview also and thought it would be ironed out in the final release.
If it is a feature, is there a way to disable this ?

TIA.

Hi N.Vignesh,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are facing the issue with “Internet Explorer 10 tab width increases when closing another tab”.

It’s working as designed. When closing tabs in Internet Explorer 10 the tabs increase in size while your mouse is hovered over the X to make it easier to close multiple tabs if needed. When you move your mouse away from the tabs, they go back to normal size.

If issue persists try resetting Internet Explorer's settings and check. Follow the steps:

 a. Press Windows logo key + R.

b. Type inetcpl.cpl in Run Window and press enter.

 c. Click the Advanced tab.

 d. Click Reset and click apply and ok.

Note: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.
