Hello Jdries,

Welcome to Microsoft Community Forum.

As per the problem description, I understand that Internet Explorer 10 on your Windows 8 computer is set to open new customized MSN page for Windows 8 user and you want to use the older http://my.msn.com or http://www.msn.com” as your default home page and you’re not able to do so.

I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

There are two Internet Explorer version on Windows 8 computers: “Desktop” and “User Interface (UI)”, which version are you trying to change the home page for?

You may follow the steps in the Microsoft article below and check if that helps.

Change your home page for Internet Explorer.
