Can't open Internet Explorer 10

Whenever I click on IE10 the page that comes up is "This page can't be displayed".  I've tried selecting Fix Connection and it says there is nothing wrong.  My son installed Google Chrome, could this be interfering with IE?  It doesn't matter whether or not IE or Google is the default browser.  I've also downloaded latest version, rebooted and nothing changes.  Any Suggestions?  Thanks!

This is what is on the page:

  • Verify that airplane mode is turned off.
  • Make sure your wireless switch is turned on.
  • See if you can connect to mobile broadband.
  • Restart your router.

I don't know if I'm infected with something or not, I just can't open Internet Explorer.  If it is a virus, I have no idea which one.  But it's definitely annoying.  Right now I can only use Google Chrome.  I want IE back.
