Error message: the media could not be loaded, either because the serveror network failed or because the format is not supported

Using IE 11.608.15063.0     trying to view video at https://www.nefleaglecam.org/ and receive error message the media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported on Camera 1, Camera 2   Camera 3 works fine

The website is using the piksel player.   The problem is not replicated on MS Edge

Any ideas why this is happening?  I assume it is because IE 11 supposedly has its own flash player and may not support the format piksel issuing on the website.  I do not know what format they are utilizing or even if there is a setting to associate the unknown format to the IE player.

Thank You

Hi,

Tools>Internet Options>Security tab,

click "Reset all zones to default".

then select the Trusted Sites Icon, 'Sites' button,

remove nefeagles.org from your trusted sites list......

the web site

nefeagles.org uses another website (piksel.com) to host the videos...

IE stops websites in the trusted zone from using data/media from a website in another (Internet) security zone....

When you remove mefeagles.org from you IE Trusted sites list... it is automatically mapped to the Internet zone... the secure protocol (https) works just as well (your information is encrypted)......

Generally home users of IE should not change their default IE security zone settings nor add sites to their Trusted sites list.

The Flash streaming camera's may also be blocked by IE's ActiveX Filtering settings.

see https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/ie/2011/02/28/activex-filtering-for-consumers/

for instructions on how to use IE's ActiveX filtering and Tracking protection.

Regards.

I;ve done that procedure, Did it again just for sake of good order to no avail.

As  I understand it IE11  doesn't use adobe player, it has it's own. .  I am thinking perhaps piksel is streaming in a format unknown to the player within IE or the format is not associated with the player  I'm not the only IE 11 user having the problem with the website

Thanks

The live cam player is at url   https://player.piksel.com/playerlive.php?s=n8c02n9p&doResize=false

Works fine with Firefox and Chrome.

Fails with IE11.

Thanks for confirmation.  I think whatever player is within IE is simply incompatible with the stream.

Is odd though the 3rd camera at the page works well, it's the first two, so the formats must differ.
