How many people can edit a microsoft document at the same time

I understand that people can edit documents at the same time, but is there a maximum number of people that can be logged in making edits at the one time?

Hi Ana,

As I’ve checked the related articles below about the feature in Office to be able to edit multiples users in a document simultaneously, there’s no established or specific total number of users who can make the changes.

However, you may take note of too much users that are editing the document, as it may affect its performance and may result conflicts as well. The changes may not sync properly if there are a lot of revisions being made to the file at the same time.

Based on the user experience, it is recommended to have a maximum number of 10 editors that can work on a specific document concurrently.

Let me know if you have any clarifications on this.
