Open pdf files in Adobe and instead of Microsoft edge

i want to open pdf files in adobe and not Microsoft edge, but ever time i try to open a pdf it opens in Microsoft edge. I can do more things with a pdf in Adobe than in Edge.  How do i make Adobe the default program to open a pdf file?

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

Follow the steps below to change Adobe to open PDF files instead of Edge:

  1. Right-click any PDF file.

  2. Click on Properties and under Open With click Change.

  3. Now select Adobe from the list and click Ok.

  4. Check if Adobe opens all the PDF files.
