Microsoft Edge crashing since last update. What do I do to fix it?

Since an update this week Microsoft Edge opens briefly then crashes. How do I solve this problem?
Others have found it necessary to uninstall their third-party security packages.

If you're running either Trusteer Rapport or Trusteer Endpoint uninstall it.

If that resolves the Edge problem, try reinstalling the Trusteer program.

This fix seemed to work fo me too.

Tried clearing cashe and data first, then reset Edge - didn't fix the craching problem but lost my favourites bar settings - thanks!

Uninstalled Trusteer and Edge works again.

Problem is my Bank insists on trusteer so try to fix this compatibility issue please MIcrosoft.

Microsoft won't be fixing this. It's a Trusteer problem.

The last time Rapport caused this problem, they (IBM/Trusteer) released an updated version in about a week that didn't cause the problem.

If you have to have Rapport installed to access a bank website, try reinstalling it now. See if that resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, try reinstalling in 3 or 4 days then again (if necessary) 3 or 4 days after that.
