Edge printing error 0x8007007e.

After the recent Windows update, when trying to print a webpage in Edge, I get this error:  0x8007007e.   I can print from apps/software, but this configuration error comes up from Edge.  Microsoft Print to PDF generates the same error.  I'm using an HP Officejet 4650.  I can print webpages from other browsers from the same printer...no issues.  Is there a fix from Microsoft?

Hello, I had the same problem.

I found article link

File PrintConfig.dll is missing in C: \ Windows \ System32 \ spool \ drivers \ x64 \ 3.

I don’t know why it wasn’t there. When I put it there - problem is fixed!

Thank you so much guys it works!!!

I first copied the printconfig.dll file updated on 03/04/19 and it failed, then I found the file updated on 15/09/2018 exactly the same file you said and the printer worked immediately!!!

I will write down what I did in case I can help other people.

I searched 'PrintConfig.dll' on 'This PC'.

Then I found the file updated on 15/09/2018, size is 3.37mb, and under the title 'PrintConfig.dll it shows C:\Windows\Sydtem32\spool\drivers\x64\{CF125463.....

I copied this file.

Then I searched 'x64' on 'ThisPC'. I clicked the folder 'x64' with the letter 'C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers' on the left.

Then I found a folder '3' inside. Clicked it.

Pasted the file 'PrintConfig.dll'

ALL DONE!!!
