Edge printing error 0x8007007e.

After the recent Windows update, when trying to print a webpage in Edge, I get this error:  0x8007007e.   I can print from apps/software, but this configuration error comes up from Edge.  Microsoft Print to PDF generates the same error.  I'm using an HP Officejet 4650.  I can print webpages from other browsers from the same printer...no issues.  Is there a fix from Microsoft?

Thanks.  HP Tech Support remotely reinstalled and updated my printer.  Didn't help with Edge.  They said I need to find an answer from Microsoft, since the printer prints fine with other browsers.

What happened? Reset Edge, if Edge is the problem.

Anna - I've checked yet again and my software/drivers are up to date.  I reset Edge.  Still having the problem printing from the web in Edge (can print from other browsers).  HP has reported it to Microsoft, since it started happening after the last Windows update.

I was not successful in getting Microsoft support (didn't have enough time to wait online), but a Windows update processed today on my computer, and there are no longer any printing issues.  It's fixed!  I was told by HP that they had made Microsoft aware of the issue and that Microsoft was working on the bug.  Hope yours works now, too, Anna!

I have updated everything and still get this error, only in Edge. Can print fine from Firefox or any of my applications (Word, etc.) Any other ideas? My full message reads, "your printer has experienced an unexpected configuration problem. 0x8007007e.

Naomi - I received an automatic Windows update on July 12 that fixed my problem.  This is a Windows problem, so I would suggest contacting Windows support by chat or phone.  That was going to be my next step, but the update came through overnight and suddenly I had no printing problems the next morning (or since).  They can tell you if you have the latest update and/or if you need to do something different.  Good luck!
