Cannot play Facebook games with Edge

For some reason I cannot play games in Facebook.  When I click the link to the game the screen goes beserk jumping around then I get a message that says try logging in again.  Still does it. Suggestions?  It works fine with IE 11.  Just not EDGE.

I already did all this. The page jumps around like crazy and won't stop until I close the browser.  While it's jumping it shows this message:  "An error occurred, please try to re-login to facebook and try again later. Sorry for the inconvenience. "

 Re-logging in doesn't matter. It still doesn't work.  Now what?

  1. Does this issue persist while playing other online games through Edge?

If this issue is confined to Microsoft Edge, I suggest you to try running Windows app troubleshooter and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to run the Windows store app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  • Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
  • Select Troubleshooting.
  • Select View all on the top left corner.
  • Click on Windows Store app.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
  • Check if issue persists.

If issue persist kindly follow the below given method

 

Method 2:

If issue persist, kindly follow the below given link to run Windows app troubleshooter:

Ran both troubleshooters

It said "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem"

You can try exploring other options that might be helpful./

And yes it still does it.  I know with Internet Explorer I had to uncheck the 'Enable protected mode' to play any Facebook games.  Why is that?  There's obviously a Windows security glitch.  There is no enable protected mode setting to change in Edge.  At least that I'm not aware of.  I don't understand why Microsoft and Facebook just can't get along like it used to.  They're both going to be around for a long time so.....

Suggestions?

Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
  3. Select Add an Account.
  4. Enter a user name and hit Next.
  5. Click on Finish.
  6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
  7. Check if issue persists.

 No. Still does not work.  What's going on?  It works on my husbands' computer.  He has the exact same computer. But it doesn't work on mine. Can we please fix this?

I am having the same problem ,,, did you ever find a solution?  I can play fine with Firefox when I log in there ,, I have changed settings on my FB app and my Edge setting per the previous responses. Still no luck resolving the issue though.

I believe it all depends on the game, and possibly the computer. For me (Lenovo G50) some games work fine, while some pop up with a message saying:

"On Tuesday, April 14th, 2015, Google Chrome removed the ability to play Unity Web Player games. [Game Title], can still be played on Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. If you'd like to continue to play Facebook Games using Google Chrome, please select another game."

Which is weird because I am not using Chrome.

So I am not sure why, but if your game is run by Unity Web Player, it will not work.
