Bing Removing Many Sites For no Reason

Bing already deindexed 4 of my websites and the same keeps happening to many of my friends and other webmasters as well. I am completely aware of the Webmaster Guidelines and everything I shouldn't do from 8+ years of experience managing websites... But even without violating a single one of them, the website is still getting deindexed. Not one, not two, it keeps happening over and over again.

When we contact them, some sites get back in the search results again after they manually remove the block and some of them not. Around 75% of the time, they are reindexing the sites. So, it clearly does NOT violate Bing guidelines and still got removed from the search.

The websites were up and running for over 4-5 years without any issues from any search engines. Only contains high-quality original articles. I can see many sites with extremely low-quality content still on Bing indexed without any issues. And the algorithm removes sites without any visible problems?

If there were any actual problems like malicious content or something, as most of the search engines including Google takes these issues seriously, I would have also got warnings from them. But it is not happening.

Bing also doesn't send any emails or warnings in their webmaster console as well. So, what is the point of a webmaster console if it doesn't even warn the webmasters about such a serious issue? Deindexing a website completely is way serious than removing certain URLs from the search. I wouldn't even care if Bing removed my sites because I did anything sneaky or against their webmaster guidelines. But this is just unacceptable...

So, what's happening here?

Bing also admitted there was an issue with Cloudflare users (https://twitter.com/facan/status/1321135009839771649). But it seems like the issue is not limited to Cloudflare users only. It affected many webmasters who don't have Cloudflare active on their website.

I am providing some links to similar topics so that anyone from Bing support can take a look at them. (They are not all, but I cannot post all of them because it will be too many links.)

So, is the Bing support going to give a resolution for this or keep sending "Follow Webmaster Guidelines" as their reply which clearly most of the deindexed sites follow? Or at least admit there is some kind of bug? I honestly don't think thousands of webmasters suddenly start violating their guidelines... Or maybe the latest indexing update had something wrong in it.

I have many more points to make that validates my statements. But I think you got my point. Any comments on this from anyone from Bing support? This is a tiny issue for Bing but a serious issue for a webmaster who has been working their entire career on a website and it should be resolved or at least provide a clear reply about "What the specific Problem on the website is" when we contact the support.

No one will reply mate because they seem don't care about the webmasters.

If they really do care then such serious issue should be fixed on first priority. My website www.techtricknews.com too removed for no reason.

They gave facility to enable Communication Preferences in the Bing Webmaster Dashboard, I have enabled it but never got any email with notifications.

I am following up with Bing support team since last 6 to 7 months but never found any email supportive. They just keep saying that your website is not up to the mark as per the guidelines but never gave the solution to it.

I have checked my website and didn't find anything that is against Bing webmaster but still they removed my website. I have even contacted with several screenshots that might help them to understand that I never got any malware issue or any copyright issue in my website, but they don't care such practical proofs as well. Wired!

Even World's best search engine Google is at least give a notification that your website has some serious issue that might affect your website's search appearance in search results. But here, the case is completely different.... they follow Google to design the Bing webmaster but never care to help webmasters to make the website more user friendly and search engine friendly by notifying them possible threats.

Hope they do really care or else Bing will be of no use in the nearer future.

Microsoft has a lot of money, so they do not need much money, perhaps that is why they are not paying attention to their services. And another reason is that maybe now they are come to know that they can not beat Google, so they has given up hope and it is also possible that due to shock and trauma, they are going to shut down the Bing search engine.

Got the same problem since April, it suddenly de-index my blog and support refuses to tell me why, not even a single hint. They can destroy entire small businesses by doing so but they seem don't care, it's in their company culture

No wonder they are far behind Google search!

It's not that Microsoft "doesn't care", it is that their company in regards to Bing is a basket case to the point of criminality.

My business was suddenly "deindexed" by Bing aka put on a spam list for some unknown reason.

I messaged the Bing team and got this message back:

"Firstly, I am happy to provide you information that our product review group succeeded in removing the block of the site. After submitting your site to be reviewed the team has decided to lift the block. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for your site to be crawled indexed and serving again.

I am unable to provide you the specifics of the block as our product review team does not share details of the block. However, I wish to help you with few links and help docs which will not only help in avoid blocks but also help you to rank better in the Bing index."

Nothing happened in regards to my site being available again in Bing; you could not type my brand name into Bing and find my site.  So I sent another request and got this response back:

"Thank you for your patience. After further review, it appears that your site ******.com did not meet the standards set by Bing the last time it was crawled. Post a re-review, we confirm that your website continues to be in violation of our Webmaster Guidelines."

I changed nothing on my site in between these two responses.

If they want to rank my site down for key phrases that is their prerogative, but to deindex a business from a brandname like it has ceased trading and recommend competitors to use instead is criminal behaviour in my opinion.

I am really me.

Got a similar experience with almost same replies. It's completely unacceptable and they deserve a class-action lawsuit at this point

I'm having the same problem with my site downloadsoft.net more than five months ago, my site was blacklisted by Bingbot, and delete all index archives from Bing & Yahoo.

What Bing has done with thousands of small websites is the biggest crime and it must be held accountable for this criminal act that is carried out against the sites that completely destroyed them from the index of Bing and Yahoo without any convincing reason.

My site has also been blocked for “spamming” and i also use cloud flare… the support by Microsoft for webmasters is horrible. I have been speaking to a Support Engineer for over two months and all she can say to me is “i need to rebuild me website”

My site is a Wordpress site and I have spent two months doing just about everything I can, tearing my site apart and reviewing all the plugins and themes.

And still all she says is “i need to rebuild my website”

Like you my site is blocked so its out of the index completely… searching for it brings up other companies. And google has no issues with my site….

I don’t know what to do at this point. Microsoft really doesn’t care about webmasters…. Which is why no one uses bing really

So is there no way to get help with this yet ? My customer support agent who clearly is not a technician but just a help desk agent has only this to say :

Unfortunately as I said  before our team will not reveal facts behind the block.

They have confirmed that the block has been valid.

If you have made any changes kindly please wait so that changes may need time to reflect.

If you have any additional questions or new updates, please let me know.

Thank you,

Annem Mallikarjunareddy | Technical Support Engineer
