UET for Single Page Application

I want to use UET with a single page application but can't seem to get it working. I've read the following thread first and it didn't help me.

The solution there is not working for me.

1. When the script is loaded with the page UET Tag Helper shows page load event happening twice.

2. Using window.uetq.push doesn't produce the desired result.

  a. window['uetq'].push("pageLoad") doesn't produce any events even though it's exactly how it's used in the tag script

  b. window['uetq'].push({ ea: "pageLoad" }) only produces a custom event.

Please help.

Hi enginggt,

Thank you for reaching out to us, I hope your day is going well.

With each custom event, you have to make sure you specify what your desired result is with your coding. Each webpage custom event codes are unique to the conversion goal. I have underlined the areas that I would like you to change or review for you specific coding:

 window.uetq = window.uetq || []; window.uetq.push({ 'ec':'Event category', 'ea':'Event action', 'el':'Event label' });

  • Event category: The category of event you want to track. For example, 'video

  • Event action: The type of user interaction you want to track. For example 'play' or 'pause' etc

  • Event label: The name of the element that caused the action. For example 'trailer' or 'behindthescenes' etc

  • Event value: A numerical value associated with that event. Could be length of the video played etc.

I would also recommend you speak with your webmaster before implementing your custom events to ensure your coding is set up properly. You may also want to run a practice conversion after implementing these changes to ensure you have achieved your desired result.

I hope you found this information helpful please let me know if you have any additional questions as we are always happy to assist.
