University made it so that google chrome redirects to bing

Not sure what happened, but i believe a while after logging in to microsoft 365 google chrome (not firefox) redirects google searches to bing. Is there a way I can revert this/change it back?

Also after searching the web address https://findtroley[.com/ comes up which is what redirects me to bing.

Hi Randil,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

It seems the search engine on your Google Chrome has been changed to Bing.

Please open Google Chrome > Click on the three dots above > Settings > Search Engine > Change the search engine from Bing to Google.

Does it work for you?
Sincerely,

I do not believe this has worked, the default was already google, and when deleting all other options, it still redirects to bing.

Thanks for updating me.

Have you installed any extensions so far?

Kindly, check the installed extensions to see if any are involved in this issue.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome?

I see that some users reported the same issue caused by a virus/trojan. It is best if you scan your computer with the free Malwarebytes version:
