Save Directions in Bing Map

Please tell me there's an easier way. One I haven't noticed.

None that I am aware of.

I really like the search features and the whole interface, but I am having troubles saving also.

Wow, this is bothersome.

I am signed in.

After doing the directions search, I go to My Places and up pops the My Places Editor. It tells me "You haven't saved yet", so I click the Save Now link. Properties pops up with Title and Notes. I fill it out and the "save" ends up in "My Places" in the "My places editor". I've also tried using "New List" in the Editor and it seems to save my search.

When I go to open any saved searches/directions, I get this message "Your list of places is empty. To add an item from search results, click Save. You can also save pins that you add anywhere on the map."

Shouldn't this be a 1-2 click thing, not some extended trial and error experience that ends up forcing one to re-search directions that were supposed to be and were shown as saved?

· You must be signed in to Bing using your email address.

· Click Directions and fill the A box for your starting point and B for your destination.

· Click GO.

· When the direction appears on the left panel, right click on either point A or point B in the maps.

· Click Add a Pushpin.

· The Edit Properties of the Pushpin will pop up.

· Choose on which Folder in My places you want to save.

· Add a Title

· Copy the URL in the address bar of Internet Explorer and paste it in More information URL box.

· Click Save.

To retrieve your saved Direction do the following steps:

· In My Places, Click the folder that you saved your direction into.

· Click the Title.

· A gray box will pop up.

· Click more info.

· The saved direction will pop up including the instructions on how to get from one point to another.
