I do not want the new Bing AI Chat as my search. It does not display my search results and opens a chat box.
I DO NOT WANT THIS CHAT!
I want my previous REGULAR Bing Search returned. How do I disable/remove this new (NOT WANTED) Bing AI Chat?

I think his question is the same as mine, I don't want bing ai or bing chat. I want a standard search. I don't want it to ever go into chat mode. We just want search. I want to get rid of the ai portion of bing or disable it or opt out of it.

I am also trying to disable the obnoxious AI chat in the Bing Android app and resume normal searches. All of the methods the AI itself suggests only apply to PC/Windows search or the Microsoft Edge browser, neither of which I'm using. There seems to be no way to get rid of the AI chat feature in the Bing app. I don't want it and find it intrusive and useless. Also, searches in the AI chat don't count toward Bing Rewards which is a primary reason I'm even using the Bing app in the first place. I was initially able to get rid of the AI chat or at least prevent it from taking over my searches by deleting and then reinstalling the app, but it always comes back and I find it listed as 'approved' under my profile when I did NOT approve it. Please tell us how to disable this feature. I'm really losing patience.

Why is there no answer?
Because they either aren't allowed to say or there simply isn't a way to do it. I too would love to get rid of this obnoxious laggy feature. It always seems to pop up at the worst possible time too. If any of the employees could pass along this feedback to your supervisors: No one wants this, no one uses this, it's going to fail anyway so why not give your data farmees err I mean users, a way to opt out?

I use Android Edge browser in desktop mode. When using bing.com chat is so painfully, always appearing when trying to view the top of the page, that I am now uninstalling Edge until this is fixed. I really want to disable chat but cannot.

There seems no way to disable Bing chat from the original Bing search widget. I found a workaround. Use the search widget from the Edge menu instead of the Bing menu. It will use whatever search engine you picked on the Edge browser. Current options are Bing, Yahoo, Google, DuckDuckGo. No annoying CHAT pops up. The only thing it doesn't seem to do is read the result out loud. For me, that's a good thing.

They don't want you to remove it which is why they aren't responding with the method to. They just want to force you to use it.

I might have figured out a solution. I went to Playstore on my android and searched for 'Edge' I noticed that 'Bing: Chat with AI & GPT-4' was installed. I uninstalled it. Now when I search in Edge I am not seeing the annoying Chat pop up. You can still select the bing chat icon if you want Chat responses, but it doesn't seem to automatically do it anymore and just provides search results. It might come back, but so far so good. I hope this works for others 😊 Also, do not click anything under the 'People also ask' section in Bing search results because it opens the annoying chat response.
