removal of personal info on Bing search

Can I request for the removal of my personal information on Bing search?

Hi DanielY_421!

I'm Jen, and I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

You may report this concern to Bing using the link below. However, please note that Bing only removes search results that meet a specific set of conditions and circumstances. The best option is usually to contact the site's webmaster and request that the content be deleted or removed.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.

Best Regards!
Jen :)

If you want something removed from Bing, you need to remove it from the original source.

Search your name in Bing to find where your personal information is for sale.

Make a list (or a spreadsheet) of all the websites that sell your Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

Your list will most likely have about 30 to 40 websites that are selling your personal info.

Look at the botton of each page, look for the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" icon.

Click on the icon and then follow their instrutions.

Many of these websites are either owned by, or affiliated with, large corporations known as "Data Brokers".

You don't need to opt-out of each individual website, just opt-out from the main websites and you will be removed from their affiliate websites.

Be advised that after you opt-out, your personal information could be reposted after a few weeks. It's game of "whack-a-mole".

The websites that sell our personal information often include this warning:

"You may not use our service to make decisions about consumer credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose that would require FCRA compliance.

These websites create problems because employers would make hiring decisions based on the info they find about protential employees.

They also sell our automobile Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs).

What is your IP address? They sell our IP addresses too.

Search bing for

"California Consumer Privacy Act"

"Federal Credit Reporting Act"

"List of Data brokers"

"List of people finder websites"

"Remove personal information from data brokers"

"Remove personal information from people finder websites"

"Opt-out procedures for people finder websites"

"Opt-out procedures for data brokers"

"people finder website reviews"

"data broker reviews"

Maple Street.
