Microsoft Bing automaticly switchs my region to China

Hello,

I'm now facing a problem that Bing is constantly switching my region to China. I've tried cleaning up coockie and reset the region to Germany, where I'm currently living in. But after a certain period of time Bing just switches the region back to China. I'm suspecting it has to do with my Microsoft account, because before I logged in, Bing was default in Germany. I'm now seeking a way to get away with this problem and taste the New Bing chat function.

Hello yichenzhang1, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

I understand that you're having trouble changing your region on Bing;

Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?

Before answering the question I suggest you try the following;

Open Edge and go to: https://www.bing.com/
Click on the three bars (upper right corner of the site) then click on Safe Search;
In Location, enter the zip code of your location;
Scroll down to the Country/region section and change the region;
In the Language section, change your language;
Now scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save;

Check if your region is still automatically changed by Bing;

Hope this helps, see you soon!

It still does. It's more like an account problem than something local in my opinion.

Dear yichenzhang1,I'm sorry the suggestions didn't work;

In that case I suggest you try the following;

Open Edge and go to Settings;
Click on Languages in the menu on the left of the screen;
If Chinese is in the preferred language list, remove it from the list by clicking the three dots on the right;
Leave the German language at the top;

Check if bing still changes your language;

See you soon!

It’s currently English being the only language on the board. And i’m not that comfortable of using German as my main language, as I’m still needing to improve it.

Dear yichenzhang1,I understand, I thought you used German as your main language;

Have you thought about completely reinstalling Windows already in the English language?

This will likely fix the problem;

See you soon!

I have the same problem and have tried everything. I never have this kind of problem when using Chrome. The edge will automatically change what you change without notice. Every time I change the language and region, the edge will automatically change back immediately. What!!!↳
