Bing started to use this annoying features where if you hover the cursor over a link for more than half a second a giant popup will cover half the screen and not go away unless you close it manually. I cannot find a setting that will turn this stupidity off, can anyone help?

If mine was like this, not so bad but the left popup of search swallows half of what I am reading on my laptop and being poor eyesight, it strains when it should not.

I suspect, that doesn't make it right, useful, or enjoyable, hence my search for a way to remove, hide, or stop them. I would some enterprising code slinger could become quite wealthy with such an app or addon.

I'm looking for the same answer as you and found a guy that published this video.
His solution didn't work for me unfortunately, but if you are not familiar with his way to enable and disable things, this video might still be valuable.
Stop Annoying Bing Search popup in Edge - YouTube
On second thought this might actually do what he tells you it does, disabling bing pop-ups urging you to change browsers... but it doesn't apply to bing's search-pop-up after selecting a piece of text on a page.
I copy and paste a lot from browser pages....
when you select a text in an edge browser (to copy) this annoying pop-up appears for a couple of seconds.
And while that pop-up is active, you can't copy the text you just selected.
Result: frustration about accidentally pasting your previous clipboard content in stead of your newly selected text!
So if someone has a way to disable this annoying thing as well, I will be very grateful.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Got it!
While I was posting the image above I noticed the ... in the pop-up and so I decided to see if I could find the solution there!
And I did!
Just disable it from there!

There is no off/on toggle. Only something that appears as blue a white dot or white with a black dot. What is wrong with Micrsoft that is makes everything so freaking complex and difficult? Why do we need these incredible stupid extra search result bubbles that merely repeat some of what in is the regular search result list?
Furthermore, we have previously blocked popup ads but nothing shows as having been blocked. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MICROSOFT? IS IT INTENTIONALLY GASLIGHTING PEOPLE? STOP THIS NONSENSE NOW NOW NOW.
